I am coming up on my reenlistment period and I am thinking of going from 88m to a aviation unit. I have always wanted to be on a Blackhawk crew and so im thinking now is my chance to do it. that is really all I want to do is be ether a part of the crew or be the crew chief. would are some things I should expect before I try to change? I am a sgt in the guard. what is the school like for a 15P? thanks in advance!!

If you want to be on a Blackhawk crew, then 15P is not going to get you there. You need the MOS 15T for that. 15T is the MOS for Blackhawk mechanic, which is the foundation stone for enlisted UH-60 community. Once you finish AIT and get assigned to a PDY station, there you [may] be selected for a flight section. This usually doesn't happen until you have proven yourself in the maintenance support arena for a while. 15P is Operations/S-3.

As SGT (Join to see) stated, Ft. Eustis, VA, close to VA Beach about 45 minute drive. It is 15 weeks long, but the best part is if you go on a post run, it only takes about 30 minutes to see everything. Small post.
