I am a 56X chaplain candidate, looking into reassessing to another branch of the army. I've made call and sent emails, but am having issues initiating the process. Has anyone here gone through the process? or know someone who has?

I'm curious if you were able to transfer. I'm prior enlisted and a chaplain candidate now, and with my denominational requirements by the time I would make it back to active duty I would be at 18 years TIS.

Have you contacted the Candidate program manager and asked to be re branched?

I have, he referred me to a Civ at HRC with no response in 2 weeks after emails and calls.

I know it's a pain but keep on it. Did the candidate manager give you a letter of release from the program. This is where you retain your commission but you are in a state of limbo until you get a slot placing you in a basic branch.

Is it possible ? I been trying to switch to 70b against available slot but been told no or to give up commission and go OCS to be assigned basic branch, I’m Nationalguard is there a slim chance I can still branch transfer? CPT (Verify To See)
