Hello, my husband’s MOS is over 20 weeks and we were told that we should be able to accompany him. He is in his 8th week of BCT and received orders but they say Dependents-No. Does this mean that the orders are unaccompanied? Or that his dependents aren’t recognized and we need to have them fix it? Thank you in advance.

You have time to get all this settled once he gets to the school if need be. His first few weeks he won’t be allowed to leave the area anyway usually.

It usually means dependents aren't authorized to go with him because his school isn't long enough. If it is long enough he should be able to get them changed when he gets to AIT and have you move down there with him.

Oddly, it states that his AIT is long enough and then says Dependents:NO which makes me wonder whether there was a glitch and a mistake was made to where it looks like he doesn’t have dependents?

It doesn't hurt to ask him to check his Official Military Personnel File or his HR to make sure they have him listed as married. Just as a double-check as sometimes paperwork gets screwed up.

I was also told that he will receive new orders at graduation. Is that correct? Thank you

Kaylee Walter - What registrar office? Orders will reflect holidays as well, but are not counted as part of the training time. Has he turned in the required paperwork to show that he is married, and you are his dependent (DEERS paperwork)? Do you have a dependent ID card?

If you want, and after removing any PII and unit info, you can e-mail me a copy of the orders. I can give my e-mail here, or in a message (after you are okay with sending a copy of the orders).

Fort Eustis’ registrars office tokdbus themselves that that the course is 20 weeks and 3 days long and that the Go Army website is incorrect. His overall time there is 24 weeks and 3 days. I do have a dependent card and we’ve been receiving BAH.

Thank you! I don’t have a copy of his orders as he’s still in BCT

Kaylee Walter Okay. This question and how you have given your answers made it seem like you had a copy, even while he's at BCT.

I’m sorry, no, he called me last night with graduation information and told me this in that process.
