How to receive a memorandum and bootcamp medical records?

I was in any reserve in 2011 and got out with a medical discharge. I'm now reenlisting in active Navy and everything is going good so far, I took my advantage and completed the application. But now the meps doctors say I need a memorandum and medical records from army boot camp. And body know how I go about accessing these?

Then print the request acknowledgment, the site is called eVetRecs, it's from NPRC in Stq Louis, part of NARA, the Natl Archives....

They only do svc stuff, not VA, if you've ever used VA hospitals, each one has a Release of Info (ROI) off if you were unaware, that does HIPAA/Privacy Act (PA) requests....

You'd need to go to all VA hospital ROI ogcs you've ever used separately, VA Central Of (VACO) doesn't keep such stuff on file centrally, only the hospitals do, individually, also, register for the VA eBenegits, VONAPP, and MyHealtheVet sites, the hospitals now only do MyHealtheVet Level 2, eBenefits is run by DMDC/DEERS, it's registered for now only by remote proofing online, unless one is disabled, then Congress and the VA Regional Ofcs (VAROs) or VACO have to do it manually, DMDC/DEERS has toll free phon e lines, as does VA eBenefits, however, VA can't do mufh besides help you with the site, only DMDC/DEERS can do major stuff, they're really, really strict as to their procedures, honest....

As for eVetRecs, once a request goes in for medical, dental, and personnel files, you've gotta wait a week or two till you'd get a letter back from NPRC in St Louis that they've got the request....

Then, yet ing the stuff, all printed double sided, go to a copy place and convert it yourself, to avoid errors to single sided, can take a couple of months, depending on how much info you give them initially, the more you give them, SSN, unit enlistment dates, separation/discharge dates, service, enlisted or commissioned, ranks, rates, MOS or AFSC, and if needed serial number, the faster your stuff can generally be found....

They had an old bldg that was moved out of a few yes ago, a new facility was built, there was a fire in the old one in 1973, very famous incident, only Army records were affected, pre-computer, a lot of stuff still exists, we've had stuff for our family that had been lost, it only affected Army stuff....

The records are all kept in what are termed reference cores, with individual civil svc staff...also, NPRC has active duty personnel there to handle special requests, from all svcs, if needed....

If your stuff is delayed and/or can't be found, the staff higher up can actually be called, if need be, they're all quite helpful, also, send in Privacy Act (PA) requests to alp three of your Congress local ofcs, not their DC offs for letting them know you're asking for your stuff, they can help a good deal, both House and Senate....

The local Congress offs do casework, DC offs only do policy stuff, also, such requests are typically done by House local offs, Senate offs can do it, however, that:s ordinarily how it's done, we've found, for the most part....

Generally, one doesn't need Congress help, assuming you file the eVetRecs request right, sign and date it, attach a cover Petter with any of your stuff, maybe your DD214, the VA eBenefits site now has DD214s downloadable using Adobe Acrobat PDF, however, you've gotta be Level 2 not Level 1 to get those features, VONAPP is a linked separate site, less difficult to register for, however, it:s only for submitting VA paperwork for claims, normally, MyHealtheBet is also linked, and, as I'd said, the hospitals can now do Level 2 proofing for MyHealtheVet only, the hospital med libraries used to do BpVA eBenefits Level 2 proofing, that was stopped a few yes ago, we did the proofing for me at a hospital !ed library for my staff, that was why we know about those aspects....

I'm total perm disabled, my wife and I have been through virtually pretty much all of it, we've gotten my stuff, the stuff for alp our family as well for the most part, so that was also why we know as much as we do about how the whole thing is done....

If you need more help, just ask, if you need the main switchboard for NPRC, it's area code 314, the exchange is 801, I don't recal the rest of the phone offhamd, however, you can easily get it by searching or through phone info....

Hope that was alp of at least some use, as I'd said, of you need help, just ask, I'll try to give you whatever more I can, OK? If you get anywhere, let us know, if you want, I'd be most eager to hear !ore, no rush, of course, trust me, that's how you get such stuff...also, all svc hospitals also keep their own records, as well, I'm fairly sure, as do clinics, however, once someone is totally out, all their stuff eventually winds up for the svcs at NPRC trust me, been there, done that (BTDT), honest, so if you've been out awhile, your stuff most def should all he there for the !most part, just reme!Ber to expliclty ask for med, dental, and personnel files, so you get all three, and remember, they're appmdouble sided printouts, so convert them to single sided, don't have copy centers do it, do that yourself, so you keep the pages in the proper order, and number them in a corner, if you can, to keep them all straight, OK?

Med and dental records are also quite frequently jumbled when scanned in, lab slips, clinocal request slips, frequently we've seen there can often be little order, in many instances....

Also, get a multifunction printer scammer fax copier, with capability to fax without a PC using no software, yet be able to be linkable to a PC software package to scan in all your stuff as PDF files, then save them backed up on flash drives, CDs, and/or DVDs, trust !e, that's the nest way, honest, do the same!e for virtually every page of your stuff, all of it, and record your DD215 with the county record off where you live, so they have a copy, o did that when I got home, my Dad had !e do it, as he did also, OK?
