I noticed that many of the posts on this USAA forum appear to be from angry USAA customers -- which surprises me because I enjoy USAA. What&#39;s your take on this USAA forum? Truthfully, it&#39;s of little consequence to me. I&#39;ve been a USAA member since I was commissioned in 1973, and virtually every experience I&#39;ve had with them has been exemplary. I will say that I use them only for auto &amp; homeowners insurance, though. Been a customer for 5 years. Never had any issues. Customer service was always fairly helpful and friendly even on the tiniest fender bender my wife had. You have sparked my curiosity to see what the angry customers are complaining about though. It seemed to be mostly complaining about USAA not giving someone a loan and very little information about the products themselves. Ultimately, I found what I was looking for, but it was a lot of sifting. Have been a customer of several insurance providers as USAA services little in the area of recreational vehicles. Our first claim was for hail damage and had to fight with them about using replacement parts from salvage yards and aftermarket sources for our MB. Have no idea what other short cuts they took. In November we were in a accident. Car was totaled. USAA appraiser lowballed the value of the vehicle. We provided corrected information which told me their appraisal tool does not utilize manufacturer information. They have recently contracted out the physical appraisal process and it is inefficient and incomplete. Suspect they have also contracted for customer support as assigned reps don’t seem to have all the file information. USAA employees tell you the new services are not working. We are going on month four and our claim is still open. <br /><br />We have tried the financial services and they are overpriced and also appear to be contracted as simple understanding of credit topics are not understood by the reps. We have tried using the car buying service for our last three vehicles and neither financing or car pricing was not competitive. <br /><br />If all you need is simple banking services USAA is very good. But all other services seem to be parceled out to other service providers with something on the back end for USAA. I am waiting for the 2021 NFL TV season to start. IF USAA ADVERTISES ON NFL GAMES I WILL MOVE TO HOPEFULLY A MORE VETERAN FRIENDLY COMPANY.
