How was my AFS waiver disapproved and then approved two days later?

I am applying for WOFT and I needed an AFS waiver. It was actually disapproved and two days later G1 some how reconsidered and approved. Obviously that initial email was disheartening but two days later a beyond unexpected approval. I normally don’t question things like this because I know better, but has this happened to anyone before and hoping with this approval I have a solid packet. Any insight on how they could change their view on my waiver would be great.

I’m no expert on warrant officer accessions but the phrase “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” comes to mind.

I had an active federal service waiver as well for WOFT on this current board and got approved. Best of luck to you.

I had to get one for the board last November. I was really stressing about it, turns out they're REALLY common and at the end of the day the Army needs pilots.
