How well do colleges deal with the VMET (Verification of Military Experience and Training)?

So I am in the process of finishing up my degree. First thing I did was meet with their veteran department and gave them a copy of my VMET and Joint Service Transcript. After they looked it over they were able to give me options on which programs utilized the most of my military experience. It has really been a good experience for me.

Mine used the JST (Joint Services Transcript). Depending on the degree you are pursuing depends on what will transfer over. Some things will be treated as electives, some things won't count (towards the degree).

The issue then is that not all schools fully understand or accept the ACE recommendations.

SGT (Join to see) - That's always been the case. There's also the case of "overlap" when dealing with degree requirements as well.
I ended up with a lot of excess Math credits (Converted to Electives), and had to track down Social Science/Humanity to complete my degree. Plenty of credits. Not enough of the right type of credits (I was over 3UL and 15+ LL when I got my BS, not including these VMET ones which aren't on my JST)

SGT (Join to see) - I have a LibArts degree. It's hard not to have excess math credits. I got into a pissing contest at the end because they treated one of my classes as "applied profession" (which I had a bunch of) instead of science (which I could use in lieu of humanities or history).
