How well does History's series "Six" reflect the Special Operations community?

I've spent the last few weeks watching "Six" on the History channel. Pretty good show but since I was never within the Special Operations, I'm curious about how good of a job they did telling the story. I figured with all the members on RallyPoint, someone will have good insight into it. I know that what often is shown on TV is far from the truth when it comes to the military.

I started to say something cute, like 50%. I will actually stick by it because they do wear uniforms and care weapons. Never in Special Operations but IF they were more than 50% accurate, our own White House would be shutting this team down.

Hmm.. now I've got to check it out.. Mom and brother trying to civilianize me & I don't like it. I paid my share of the contract for the Dish and should be able to watch what I like. I found the pass #
Before and I'll find it again.. The Doc Not a VA doc but a local one under VA contract thinks it be better they try to draw me away from Military oriented
Programs.. Bullocks! Mom found she couldn't keep me from my Veteran Svc org... She went to Doc & got a letter and took it to a Judge, I suggested one( that i knew was a Vet's friend), So she went and tried and judge turned her down.. the shrink gave many reasons why it'd be good for my psych's well-being.. Judge had his own sources. . . He said I should be able to pursue what I think satisfies me.. and issued a few injunctions of his own.. Mom and bro' are 'fit to be tied!

Well it's Hollywood :) I agree they would be the last people to go in to get their former team leader. Just too emotionally invested. But to me overall, it's better than most show's of it's type.
The cast did go thru "SEAL Lite" training at a facility in Encinitas CA, run by a former SEAL. The original main character "Rip Taggart" actor dropped out because it was too physically demanding.

Obviously I can't comment on the veracity of it (you know, being an Armchair Admiral), though of course it's pretty hard not to doubt that they're anywhere near the real thing, it being Hollyweird. Still, it's good entertainment, if you have any capacity for suspension of disbelief. My bar's pretty low.

It doesn't. I had several episodes recorded, but I couldn't get past the first twenty minutes of the first episode before I deleted the whole batch.
