All you need is a High School diploma. Semper fi. Most kids I knew passed it by the 10th grade. The students will still need to have passed enough classes and the required subjects to get a diploma. In the past, Army recruiters would have to be sure that the potential enlistee had passed the exam or they would become a "Fail to Grad" status.. If a future Soldier had a ship date, normally in June or July, the high school future Solider would have to "RENO" or renegotiate their contract. Sometimes the old "senior status" contract would have to be nullified and a new "graduate" enlistment contract would be initiated. Any way you cut it, it was a bad situation for recruiters and the future Soldiers. Hope this help you out! Remember, students still need to pass our ASVAB test. Not having to deal with passing a HS exam in order to get their diploma, make it easier to recruit... When I went to High School, you needed to pass ALL the tests to graduate. And of course, until 1972, you didn't need a diploma for the Army or Marine Corps.
(I did have one, BTW) Response by SP5 Peter Keane made Apr 4 at 2018 4:33 PM 2018-04-04T16:33:20-04:00 2018-04-04T16:33:20-04:00 SFC Michael Hasbun 3512656

A diploma is a diploma...
