Armed Forces Day this year is Saturday May 21. As a nation, we pause to honor the war dead on the federal holiday of Memorial Day and we pause to honor the service of those who served in the armed forces of the United States on Veterans Day.
Those who have a lost a loved one in war honor them all year long and those who have family members who served may or may not honor the veterans throughout the year.
I hope and pray that the family members of those who are currently serving or about to begin serving in the Armed Forces of the United States are thankful for the one serving and honor them not only tomorrow but throughout the year. I hope and pray that each member serving do your part to be worthy of the nation’s honor and gratitude as you protect us.

I will be relaxing as much as possible because that is what the doctors want me to do. I have been invited to a cook-in which was a cook-out but the forecast is for heavy rain here tomorrow. If my wife and I are up to it we plan on going to the cook-out to support a friend who is a state senator, a Vietnam veteran, a father and grandfather and a good friend.

Veteran's Program Military personnel put their lives on the line for us every day, and at no small cost. Many return to us as veterans who are injured, physically and emotionally. Almost 50% of returning vets are diagnosed with PTSD.* Often, they are not prepared for the road ahead and struggle with issues such as personal

After the storms that we have had in the Dallas area, I will be working on the home of my Air Force Vietnam Veteran father-in-law to reside his mobile home.
