How can this be. Would it be a landslide victory for the party that didn't nominate their current candidate?

I doubt it would matter. People blindly follow their party and the parties are both experts at character assassination (though dems seem better at making it effect votes). If people cared about the candidates then we wouldn't be in this situation... Hillary, Obama and most of the Democrat Party would be behind bars for a long, long time and Donald would be back to being a reality tv star loved by the media... but instead, the party picks a candidate and the flock follows the commands of the shepherd.

Either of them vs Mickey Mouse and I'd vote for our first cartoon president. :(

Cpl (Join to see) - We devolved from a society of informed voters to a society that doesn't give a rat's ass. When the numbers are stripped down, it works out that roughly a quarter of the population will determine the fate of the nation. It is estimated, but roughly half the people in the U.S. are eligible to vote. Roughly half the eligible voters are registered. In a good election year, voter turn out is between fifty and sixty percent of those registered. So it boils down to roughly a quarter of the U.S. Population determining the outcome of the election.

Cpl (Join to see) We didn't heed George Washington's warning in his farewell address. We let party dictate the direction when we should have been holding them accountable to the US Constitution.
