How would you define a "living wage"?

Listening to an interesting debate on POTUS Politics Steele & Unger Show, the topic was about living wages, welfare, tax cuts, and minimum wage. On the Left side, businesses should take more responsibility to giving employees a living wage in order to get off welfare. On the Right side, it's impossible to determine a living wage, all that matters is to get Americans working and off welfare regardless how much they are making in wage/salary. Thoughts?

A living wage is precisely what each and every individual determines for themselves. If they are falling short of it, it's their responsibility to alter their circumstances or alter their expectations. It is not my responsibility to make up the difference between what they have and what they want. If they are unable to care for themselves due to disease, accident, or other circumstances beyond their control and their family cannot care for them, it is reasonable for society to provide a safety net.

I make appx xxx a year. A living wage should be more than scraping and saving every penny to decide between medical care and meals.
This is my dilemma as I am severely underemployed.

Each individual gets to determine their own living wage, if you don't like your wage get a better one, I know, I know it's a revolutionary concept.

Politics aside- which is where the other thread went so fast you won’t read it…
Here is my point. I make less than median wage. I do not qualify for govt assistance aka food stamps or welfare because I have equity in my home and vehicles of more than 5k. If I were to loose my home then someone might take pity on me and help. Until then all I can do is continue to Soldier on, take care of my elderly parent and decide whether to continue losing weight or keep paying for the meds and surgeries I need,
