How would you describe the leadership you experienced in the military? Authoritarian? Or Developmental? Something else, please describe?

Sir as you damn well know, it depends on the leaders- I have great ones, and I have had marinets who were almost useless.

Agreed. Did you more authoritarian who were more interested in punishment or seeing a developmental opportunity? Nearest the end of my career, I have seen fewer interested in developing subordinates and more that were interested in telling you what rank they held and exercising UCMJ to wield authority.
