How would you rate Fort Stewart overall?

iOS a good base in a relatively quiet area. There is a lot of outdoor activity when notvtraining. Many more things to do within 45 minutes to an hour, including Ocean fun. I rate it an 8. Thank you for your service.

PFC Private RallyPoint Member I liked it a lot. I had a great time there. I used to travel to Daytona Beach and Jacksonville on long weekends. Savannah is relatively close and River Street was a great place to hang out.

As far as training goes, the ranges and training areas were great. The post is large, and armor and mechanized infantry units had a large area to train together. Our barracks were relatively new when I was in.

I agree with CSM Darieus ZaGara. I would rate it highly compared with other posts.

Hinesville has massively improved over the past 10 years. Georgia Southern has a campus there and Savannah is a nice place to eat and spend time and it’s 30-45 minutes away.

Been stationed there three times, by choice. It’s not for everyone but as you already stated, you enjoy it. That’s all that matters.

I think it is a nice post. It depends on your job and who you will be working with like anything. The post is nice. It has what you need and Savannah is just down the road for entertainment.

I was singing the dogface soldier song from 2012-2016.lol. The division isn’t bad to be honest. There’s not a lot to do in hinesville but it’s not a long drive to the carolinas or Florida either
