There is a lot of outdoor activity when notvtraining. Many more things to do within 45 minutes to an hour, including Ocean fun. I rate it an 8. Thank you for your service.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Jun 17 at 2018 3:23 PM2018-06-17T15:23:21-04:002018-06-17T15:23:21-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3719900

PFC Private RallyPoint Member I liked it a lot. I had a great time there. I used to travel to Daytona Beach and Jacksonville on long weekends. Savannah is relatively close and River Street was a great place to hang out.

As far as training goes, the ranges and training areas were great. The post is large, and armor and mechanized infantry units had a large area to train together. Our barracks were relatively new when I was in.

I agree with CSM Darieus ZaGara. Georgia Southern has a campus there and Savannah is a nice place to eat and spend time and it’s 30-45 minutes away.Response by SPC Neil Hood made Jun 17 at 2018 5:16 PM2018-06-17T17:16:30-04:002018-06-17T17:16:30-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member3720321

Been stationed there three times, by choice. It depends on your job and who you will be working with like anything. The post is nice. It has what you need and Savannah is just down the road for entertainment.Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 21 at 2018 6:14 PM2018-06-21T18:14:56-04:002018-06-21T18:14:56-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member3754966

I was singing the dogface soldier song from 2012-2016.lol.
