So I finally broke down and watched the new Fantastic Four movie, even with the media hype of how crappy the film is. I am a big comic book fan and find it often a tad frustrating when movies state they will try to hold true to the comic because it rarely happens. that being said, I have to admit I actually liked the new FF movie. It wasn't much like the comic in many ways. It was very different to the last two FF movies, which I liked but wasn't a huge fan of. The new FF seemed more real. Like it that were to happen in real life, I'm pretty sure the government would react the same to the four characters as they did in the movie. Granted, character development was lackluster but the effects were pretty cool and how they did the Thing was awesome as he didn't look like a guy in a rubber suit nor did he appear completely CG.

If I may ask, SSG Jesus Roman what did you not like about it? I'm curious because I used to work in entertainment and like to get all sides and opinions of review.

I didn't like the character developement, for example, Doom motive was what? Jealousy? It didn't make you sympathize with any of the characters. Then the ending was too rushed. I have a whole list of things I can mention but the list can go on and on and on....

I agree, character development was lacking. Doom was an enigma but it was obvious he had a grudge against Reed for finding the solution. And as you said, the ending did feel rushed. I imagine you do have a list, I do too. Maybe I like the movie just becuase it got such bad reviews and I was expecting something along the lines of a Uwe Boll fiasco.

I'm really torn. I was so hyped when I saw the trailers for this movie but all the negative comments make me really reluctant to see it now. But your post gave me a little encouragement.

The new Fantastic Four was terrible. But that's solely my opinion. The Thing actually looked good and so did Doom . The acting was cardboard. The story was anemic. I liked how they were going with the Ultimate Fantastic Four story line. The movie in all was dismal. That's what Fox Studios does to Marvel movies. They should just let Marvel Studios take over and show them how it's done ie " The Avengers " and " Guardians of the Galaxy "
