I enjoyed every minute of it. If you can get the H8 identifier, definitely do so. You'll work on everything your unit has, wheels, tracks, and what not. The school basically teaches you how to read the manuals and use the diagnostic equipment. The single coolest thing I have ever done. My father was a tanker in Vietnam and for me it was the thing I had to do. I am happy that I did. Thank You for your Service!!!!! Its grueling long hour work when a big part breaks. Get used to using m88's as well. They are your best friend.
I was injured in germany in a tank accident where i was nearly crushed to death. Saved another soldiers life and fixed tanks while injured, including having a length of m88 track on my shoulder as i got the j hooks on.

Its hard unforgiving work in the tank world. Sometimes you run 13 hours on a single job, get done, and its on to the next.

If you want to do it, enjoy mechanics, love hard work, and dont mind the insane pt requirements... 110% do it.
