I am a 35D O-3 PCSing to Shaw Air Force Base to be assigned at ARCENT. Any idea what to expect? Will I immediately be sent to Kuwait?

Sir, I spent time at Shaw as a 35N SIGINT Sergeant in the G2. You won't immediately TCS to Camp Arifjian but at some point you will go over there whether it's for an exercise or mission.

You shouldn't. I was in the unit as a 35D MAJ. There IS a fwd team (OCP) but unless there is a real shortage there, you should be able to remain at the Main Command Post. They can usually get volunteers to go (but that was back when you got tax free incentives etc). Rotations are usually only 6 months if you do go.
