They would know. Maybe yes. Maybe no. The Navy is one branch that really doesn't like prior service that much.Response by SSG Brian G. made Aug 29 at 2020 2:46 AM2020-08-29T02:46:17-04:002020-08-29T02:46:17-04:00SP5 Peter Keane6257511<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It is extremely likely you would have to attend A school. While co-located, the training is more advanced for the Navy.Response by SP5 Peter Keane made Aug 29 at 2020 2:09 PM2020-08-29T14:09:54-04:002020-08-29T14:09:54-04:00PO1 Robert Chalmers6286930<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>It was over 20 years ago, but I had been a medic and a pharmacy specialist in the Army and Army Reserve. I took a year off and then enlisted in the Navy Reserve. I kept my rank, and because I had the Expert Field Medic Badge, and the Combat Medic Badge, (from Desert Storm), they let me enlist in the Navy Reserve without having to go to A school, and they also gave me the 8404 (FMF Corpsman, which meant I could serve with the Marines).Response by PO1 Robert Chalmers made Sep 7 at 2020 3:24 AM2020-09-07T03:24:49-04:002020-09-07T03:24:49-04:002020-08-28T21:16:32-04:00
