Will my training transfer with me to the Navy or am I still required to attend 'A' school? 2020-08-28T21:16:32-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 6255596 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> I am a 68W combat medic in the Army Reserves. They would know. Maybe yes. Maybe no. The Navy is one branch that really doesn&#39;t like prior service that much. While co-located, the training is more advanced for the Navy. I took a year off and then enlisted in the Navy Reserve. I kept my rank, and because I had the Expert Field Medic Badge, and the Combat Medic Badge, (from Desert Storm), they let me enlist in the Navy Reserve without having to go to A school, and they also gave me the 8404 (FMF Corpsman, which meant I could serve with the Marines).
