I am a 68W combat medic in the Army Reserves. They would know. Maybe yes. Maybe no. The Navy is one branch that really doesn't like prior service that much. SSG Brian G. While co-located, the training is more advanced for the Navy. I took a year off and then enlisted in the Navy Reserve. I kept my rank, and because I had the Expert Field Medic Badge, and the Combat Medic Badge, (from Desert Storm), they let me enlist in the Navy Reserve without having to go to A school, and they also gave me the 8404 (FMF Corpsman, which meant I could serve with the Marines).
