I am a prior service E-5, is it currently possible for me to go back to Active Duty as a 15T (my old MOS)?

The business rules currently say that 15T is not an option for E-5s. However, paragraph nine of the business rules says, "Applicants who hold an Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) may request an ETP without regards to the listed MOS vacancies in paragraph 7a. Not all ETPs are favorably considered."

I hold an N1 (Flight Instructor) ASI, will this better my odds of re-entering my old MOS or will it not be viewed favorably?

Applicants who hold MOS 15S, 15T, or 15U in grades E5 and below, who have completed the assessment and selected for assignment to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) are authorized to enlist. Must submit a formal electronic request for grade determination to CG, USAREC for final approving authority.

Did you just fail to read this paragraph or are you ignoring it?

Holding the ASI doesn’t necessarily mean it will be view favorably or not.

Just go Guard and become a Fed Tech. I think most units would jump at the opportunity to pick up an experienced maintainer and FI.
