I am a single soldier who is leaving for BOLC, but I am only a co-signer on our apartment lease. Will that cause an issue with receiving BAH? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-am-a-single-soldier-who-is-leaving-for-bolc-but-i-am-only-a-co-signer-on-our-apartment-lease-will-that-cause-an-issue-with-receiving-bah <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Thu, 24 Aug 2017 11:53:16 -0400 I am a single soldier who is leaving for BOLC, but I am only a co-signer on our apartment lease. Rental agreements/leases/mortgage statements, etc. are no loner required to get BAH for a single SM. The military finally realized that single persons pay to live, too! So the rate was adjusted and the supporting documents are no longer needed. However, if they still ask for it, it shouldn&#39;t be a problem as a co-signer. You no longer need to show any proof of where you live, etc. Since you already know that you are not living on-post (I assume), then you should expect to get the BAH for your location/pay grade etc. as normal.
