They have received my acceptance packet from USAREC.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 2 at 2017 11:13 PM2017-03-02T23:13:39-05:002017-03-02T23:13:39-05:00SFC Joseph Weber2388469<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Hopefully not. Tell everyone you were temporarily insane, pull your packet back, and stay in the real Army.Response by SFC Joseph Weber made Mar 3 at 2017 8:11 AM2017-03-03T08:11:47-05:002017-03-03T08:11:47-05:00SGM Erik Marquez2389206<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Balanced or not, if you meet the prereqs and submit a complete request with all required supporting docs... Pack your bags your going to school. You would have to be in a critically short MOS, to the point the SMA is tracking all 4 of you by name and duty location before that would take priority over DS, & recruiterResponse by SGM Erik Marquez made Mar 3 at 2017 11:53 AM2017-03-03T11:53:43-05:002017-03-03T11:53:43-05:00SFC J Fullerton2389319<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>From what I understand, DOD is rebounding from a draw down and the recruiting mission has gone up. With an increase in the recruiting budget, that means more recruiters are needed in the field. There will be more NCO's getting that involuntary detailed recruiter notice in the near future. Volunteers approved by USAREC are pretty much automatic to be released by your branch, unless you are in a critically understrength priority MOS. Recruiting IS a priority duty assignment for the Army, especially during periods of increased recruiting mission and USAREC is being plus'ed up with recruiter strength.Response by SFC J Fullerton made Mar 3 at 2017 12:22 PM2017-03-03T12:22:28-05:002017-03-03T12:22:28-05:001SG Brian Adams2389443<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Speaking from a few years back as I am retired after 15 years of Army Recruiting, I would say that you stand a good chance of going to Ft Knox for the ARC. Regardless how balanced your MOS is or is not. Recruiting is a must in any branch of service and are needed. Yes, your unit could try to retain you, but USAREC is pretty powerful and besides it is normally just a 3 year tour. Unless of course you want to convert over to 79R full time as I did....good luck Warrior!!Response by 1SG Brian Adams made Mar 3 at 2017 1:02 PM2017-03-03T13:02:07-05:002017-03-03T13:02:07-05:00COL Charles Williams2393365<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>YesResponse by COL Charles Williams made Mar 5 at 2017 1:34 AM2017-03-05T01:34:13-05:002017-03-05T01:34:13-05:002017-03-02T23:06:15-05:00
