What should I do if I am on a P2 profile (run, walk, and march at my own pace) that will stop me from AD?

Talk with a military medical provider to discuss if your foot is good enough to warrant removal of the P2. If the MMP feels it is, then yay for you. I find it odd that the Recruiters are telling you that you would need that P2 gone...but then I'm not a Recruiter. It could be that it would require extra steps in regards to asking for a waiver. Did the Recruiters mention that?
If you can without a doubt pass the ACFT run time for your age group without making the condition worse, then yea talk to your MMP to get it removed.

That's correct. It's an extra step it seems like none of them want to go through with. I mean if I went AGR it wouldn't have been a problem that's why I don't see why it's a problem going RA. Maybe I'm missing something. Also I will reach out to a case manager and see what he/she think because they are constantly changing monthly.

SPC (Join to see) so it's not that you can't go AD with a P2...they just don't want to do the extra paperwork for the waiver? That's just piss poor

SPC (Join to see) - Do not know about now, but used to be that RA stricter standards than AUS or USAR. NG in its own world.

I assume you are on a permanent profile, they should just administer the 2.5 mile walk, or the bike etc as an alternative to the run. But I have been out since 2015, how has the new PT test changed things???
The ACFT aerobic even alternates are the walk, row, swim, bike. They just added the walk back to it and changed the times on the others. I think it's 2.5 mile walk still. It's 5000m row for sure.
Also - a permanent profile isn't really "permanent." It is supposed to be reviewed by the medical provider every 5 years.

Correction to my voice text, are you thinking of going active Army? I would say stay in the Army Reserve and pick tours from your unit that match your places you want to go instead of starting from scratch and losing a stripe. I still think they take a stripe away from you when you go active component and that's a total effed-up situation.
