This is my third recurring hernia in the inguinal area. The first one was when I was there years old (reported at MEPS) The second one was in 2018 roughly 5-6 months into my contract, and now I have my current one which happened at the beginning of this year that I'm still waiting for a surgery for. Considering this is my third hernia in the same spot, will it ruin my chances of trying to stay in? I would like to re-enlist but if worst comes to worse then I guess it's for the best. Any advice is appreciated.

I know personally someone who had the same or at least very similar issue. He recently retired as an CSM with I’ve 30 years of service. He did so by studying his situation and working with a physical therapist.

Well I recommend going out, drinking beer and finding a girlfrie... Sorry wrong forum.
Something is making you carry too much weight.
Without more details I can't advise. See a specialist MD about why? Try to get the current one to recommend the specialist - it may be not his expertise.

the part that really sucks for you is that you may not be able to claim it as service-connected unless you can prove that your time on active duty aggravated the condition. have you figured out what is causing the hernia? I would think that they would have to operate to repair the weak spot in your ab muscles
