<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As a Reservist under contract, you have two paths to active duty. 1.) Conditional release from the Reserve Component to enlist Regular Army, approved by HQ USARC, and vacancy available for your MOS and Rank, per the Prior Service business rules as dictated by Human Resources Command. Difficult to get approved unless you have an extremely meritorious case and your unit is over strength in your MOS, plus you have to be eligible under the Prior Service rules for a Regular Army vacancy. Several planets have to line up perfectly. 2.) Find a slot for AGR (Active Duty Reservist) in your rank and MOS. Usually that is E6 and above. <br />Your only other path to active duty would be to volunteer for a USAR unit on mobilization orders, but that will only last for the length of the scheduled deployment. Or, you can complete your 6 year contract with the USAR, then apply for a Regular Army enlistment under the prior service rules. It is not entirely impossible to get released to enlist Regular Army, but its a long tedious process with no guarantee of getting approved. Used to be easy, but not anymore. Good Luck
