It was just way too grueling for me. How does WOCS compare? I’m not too worried about anything else. I’m smart enough to pass the school, definitely a team player, always willing to learn, and I’m pretty good in the field. They decide what you do for PT in the morning. The rest is really dependent on how well or not so well your class performs. The firdt day is the worst, it lasts hours. I’ve always been in decent shape, I still had my best PT score out of WOCS. I Prepared. I did not go in worried about my physical fitness because it is completely under my control - and yours. Being physicaly fit will help you manage the stress and make more resilient- in WOCS- and after. As far as your 15 minute smoke sessions in OCS being too grueling, remember that the Army doesn’t want Officers that don’t have mental toughness - they want Officers that will lead under difficult circumstances. My recommendation is change your paradigm from trying to find out how it compares to OCS to working on improving your fitness level. The trick is this: never stop trying. It doesn’t matter if you run 18:00 or 15:00 or 11:00. If they see you slacking off, they’ll pay more attention, but if you pass, and you have it all you got, then they’ll see you want to be there. They watched me fall out of several runs, and never said a word to me, because I was always giving 100%. Don't psych yourself out. You will do a ton of running, but it is nothing someone in decent shape can't handle. The board selection is the hardest part. As for physical, the never quit and give it all you got advice is true but wocs is not a walk in the park. It induces a lot of stress to see how your class can overcome challenges. I dunno how hard the 15 min smoking in ocs is but bag drag is something you should think about if you would make it. In my class, I personally saw several individuals who thought the whole “never quit” tactic was going to save them, but if you’re seriously questioning whether or not you can pass the 6.2 mile ruck march or achieve a decent ACFT score, you should obviously focus on physical preparation. In my opinion, About 10-15% is physical, while the rest is purely a mental and psychological test of your resilience, academic, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Either way, if I could do it, anyone can.

PS. My best APFT score in 11 years came out of WOCS if that gives you any indication.
