It is a hard thing that you are facing, one that takes courage to do. I wish you nothing but success in getting treatment and healing.
If you can, tell us how the journey goes for you. There are many out there who are afraid to undergo the process and have questions that you will be able to answer.
As a leader, I know I want to know. I can point my Soldiers in the right direction, but any ground truth you can provide is invaluable.

I do my best, but what I do know if you know anyone trying to file for sleep issues, Buy a FITBIT. I finally got them to listen to my sleep issues. because it documented my sleep and awake, and disturbances.
I cannot believe how many are being nice I am humbled by it. I've put this off for 13yrs. IG scared me too much to try and I was tired of fighting. IG MSGT caused the initial issue, made my life hell for three years. I still received Airman of the year for my base and squadron, as well as nominated for one of the 12 outstanding Airman of the year following everything. but it was the hazing from my squad leader, first shirt and HR that was the most damaging. thank you. I will try to help anyone, despite if they ask or not. because I know we don't ask. God bless and thank you.

Hazing was an understatement. Unbriddled rage is better for my emotion as a result. The assault was nothing compared to the three years that followed. Inspector genaral at Scott AFB retired full benefits. I lost my GI bill and my service record is only tarnished to those who followed the bs orders or were afraid it would happen to them if they didn't comply. I don't know excuses. I don't care. I will just stand firmly on my service record despite them fucking with my pay, my life, and my sanity.

Hello there Mandy :)

It took me 22 years so I more than understand. Tell your story, be honest, tell how what happened has affected you and is still affecting you. Do not try to play down your emotions, if your pissed then BE pissed. Females in the, military from day 12 have to learn to suck it up and drive on, because if we complain something hurts, were just being a "girl".

So we have all learned to just handle it and move on, this is the one situation you have to handle and handle it some more, but you don't have to drive on until YOU are ready to, and you deserve as much help and support as YOU need to make it happen. Period, end of conversation.

I also work for the VA, don't hesitate to call me should you have questions or just need someone that speaks the same language :) Desk: [login to see] . (not till monday 1 Aug im on VACAY! ha~!)

Great post SGT. I've seen claims for MST as far back as WWII. Vietnam veterans also experienced a lot of MST, men and women. It's a horrible act and I hope it continues to be addressed.

Thank you for your support.
