I am in a Guard unit and most of my TA50 is ACU still. Do I need to bring all my gear to pre mob if I am going through RFI?

last time I mobed, CIF/RFI issued us a complete set of everything in the current pattern regardless of what we already had. I wound up having to ship 3 duffel bags of crap home rather than take it with me to Iraq.

When i deployed in 2018 my unit showed up with everything and then we packed according to the ARCENT packing list and everything else went back to the state with the rear det and JFHQ staff and the state Mobe team. Talk to your supply NCO, they have a plan.

If you dont get issued something you really need and have no means to get it before deployment, that is a problem. If you bring it and then do not need it or get issued it, it is much less of a problem to send it home or make it disappear. Which decision you make is going to cause more issues if you chose wrong?
