Yes, we all have horror stories. But the VA hospital is not just horror stories, there are some great stories there too. I'd like some vets (all generations) to chat with this Sunday night at 7:30 pm eastern online, you just need a webcam and the Internet. Let's talk about the VA hospital, the challenges, and some possible solutions.

I just saw your job title. Were you an 05G/97G? What time frame and where were you assigned? I was an 05G starting in the ASA days in the early 70s and stayed in until 1994. I stayed in the same MOS the entire time until I made Sergeant Major. I'm part of a few groups of 05Gs where we stay in touch and even have a reunion every other year to tell war stories and remember how wonderful we were!! :-) Anyway, let me know - private message me if you'd rather.

Whose time zone would we be using Capt Bob Abbott? Would you also want to speak with Vets who don't have a VA hospital, just a VA clinic, to talk about? It sounds interesting so far.

Robert, interesting perspective and yes, that would be a quality add to the convo. My audience is primarily civilians, trying to help them understand veterans better to improve the support network, and it would be good for them to realize that we all don't have a hospital nearby.
