I am moving to a new home on base. I need to be here and help my 8 month preg wife move. Can my unit force me to go to the field?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I wouldn't say force you or I need. I would say if your unit says you need to go to the field then you need to go to the field. Last time I checked we followed orders. How many thousands of pregnant wives moved while their husbands were overseas.SFC Joseph WeberSat, 25 Feb 2017 07:53:36 -05002017-02-25T07:53:36-05:00Response by COL Charles Williams made Feb 25 at 2017 12:09 PM

I would recommend, as MSG Tom Earley suggested... NCO support channel, chain of command, and then go from there.COL Charles WilliamsSat, 25 Feb 2017 12:09:00 -05002017-02-25T12:09:00-05:00Response by CMSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2017 1:45 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Most Commands have Spouse Groups that can be helpful when the military member is unavailable. That and friends, family. Please don't let your wife do any heavy lifting. Also, if its an authorized move you can hire a moving company to do the heavy lifting. Congrats on the baby!CMSgt Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 05 Mar 2017 01:45:51 -05002017-03-05T01:45:51-05:002017-02-24T13:04:34-05:00
