I am nervous about being honored Sunday with war veterans (my heroes) and I had done so little but serve. How can I combat the nerves?

You still served when others could but didn't.

Its great to be humble. No matter where you served you made the choice to serve and put yourself on the line if called for. So be proud of it. My favorite saying when someone calls me a hero because of my record " I'm not a hero but I have had the honor to serve with them."

Be proud of your service, we are all volunteer and we need each person, walk with the pride of the service you represent. Thank you for your service and happy veterans day!
