Things may have changed, but its the military and OI expect not much. Response by CW5 Sam R. With that said the increases come with BAH (basic authorized housing) with fluctuates with where you are, and living on or off post. Everyone gets the same BAS (basic subsistence allowance). Being in a foreign country several othe special pays may be bright into play. Your finance office can teel you. You're entitled to the base pay, BAS, COLA, which varies of rank and number of dependents If you're living in military housing, be it truly on post or in one of the government leased housing areas off post you will not get your OHA (Overseas housing Allowance) even if it shows on your LES.

Other than that though theres no other special pay. If you have questions your best bet would be to go to finance, if the clerks there wont explain it to you, they probably offer a financial class which explains all your pay and entitlements for being stationed overseas.
