Too many unknowns in your question. Likely, you have a Rear-D. You should redeploy with time adequate to clear...3-5 weeks, married/single/housing...etc. If family involved, and overseas duty is next, time for that. If you just cycled in, you're likely 10 months from reporting to next assignment. If family, permissive TDY + Leave will expedite return to CONUS. If Single Soldier, once you get orders, submit DA31, get back to CONUS accordingly, clear 2-3 weeks prior to signing out based on start date on DA31. Again, too many variables to simply ask. Good luck SGT.

CSM, my report date is 10 OCT 17. There is family involved and my wife will have to put in for leave drive my truck from NV back to Bragg with my TA50 so I have my vehicle and my gear to drive to FT Bliss. Because of here job being travel heavy and her SQ taking one for the team and letting her be the home station I will have our 2 sons so I will need housing and know nothing about El Paso. On top of all that I need to reverse SRP, schedule a levy brief, clear the BDE, clear the unit , fly my wife and kids back out to Vegas. Then drive back to Vegas get my boys and drive back to El Paso find them a good CDC and start the in processing. Im sure im missing a step that needs to be done but there a ton of moving parts with this PCS and im just trying to get my ducts in a row to make it as less chaotic as possible

I hear you. PCSING is generally chaotic, especially with all your particulars. Your rear D 1SG or SGM should have a handle on it. Are you dual military? Get a copy of your orders and a power of attorney specific to household goods...etc, so she can get things rolling.

SSG (Join to see) what is your report date for your next assignment? I am PCS'ing shortly and I am hugging the timeline very close to return home and "reintegrate" and out-process at the same time.

SSG (Join to see) - if your orders say you can report early (generally it will be 30 days) then start backing off that. Then some take leave, etc. So the real question is how long do you need to out-process at your post? Can it be done in a week, two, etc.? I would ask your unit what their usual timeline is and use that as a start point.

Sir that's what I am currently waiting on. I just want to try and straighten out as much as I can now so when I make it back to Mother Bragg its not so hectic... That's the plan at least. Like what I said the CSM in another post I have a million and one moving parts with this PCS and am just working to keep the ball rolling

What do your orders say. Your orders should answer those kind of questions. It will be driven by what is in your orders.

SSG, sometimes the most obvious of answers are the ones that evade us, lol that didnt even cross my mind. No orders yet, just shows on my ASK and ERB. Branch emailed a week ago informing of me of my report date.

SSG (Join to see) - Get with your S-1 about getting orders and what all is needed to be done. Keep up with it and if you need something do it now.
