I am slated to attend MLC in March of 2020. Does anyone have any tips that has gone to the resident course?

I am currently in week 6 of MLC DL. I have never been a fan of distance learning, and this course is no exception.

A day zero requirement is to submit an expository essay on an issue impacting the US Army. You also have to upload a PT card and an O-5 Memo confirming the accuracy of the PT card, along with several other inprocessing documents.

There are a ton (between 7-12) of 200+ word discussion forum posts every week along with three short-essay exam texts. You do one individual research paper, a group research presentation, and a group mission analysis and COA brief. Collaboration is difficult on the group projects due to the use of Blackboard.

A few takeaways:
-The format seems confusing and overwhelming at first.
-Expect to put in at least an hour or two per day for week 2-4.
-Grading seems to be easier than an undergrad college course.

Be prepared to do a lot of writing and for the SAE’s be prepared to type fast.
