I've never seen a military resume questioned on a PMI audit, but you may need to be prepared to defend it just in case. For Signal and IT that's fairly easy as every field training exercise, every change to network configuration, every time you set up a communications center is by PMI's definition a project. So most work you do in the military fits that.
