I Applied for benefits under the PACT Act in August last year and it is still in review. What is their problem?

There was a massive influx of claims after the PACT ACT was approved and the VA is in the middle of a hiring surge to meet the increased need

VA is reporting that the AVERAGE number of days for an initial claim to be processed is 110 days (as of December 2022), which is actually down about 2-3 weeks from what it was at the end of 2021. Keep in mind that it is from the final submission (i.e., after the exams, etc) and not from the first time you submit the paperwork.
