Carson works, one of two things will happen. 1. Be on Rear-D and support the unit that way. 2. Deploy down range to catch up with the unit (most likely COA). If the unit is deployed, and they have new Soldier coming in, it usually happens, that once the Soldier is settled (Housing/Dependents/etc) and SRP is up to date, they will put you on the next thing burning up the runway to deploy.
