I found a Joint Staff Permanent Order in my iPerms for the Joint Meritorious Unit Award that doesn’t name my unit. Am I authorized it?

I had the ISAF patch and the Joint Center for International Security Assistance is named in the order.

JMUA is only for the Staff of a Joint unit not attached units.

What likely happened is someone else added it to their file and it was put in yours accidentally.

Check your deployment orders and see what unit you were truly assigned to and if you have a position on a Joint Manning Document (JMD). The center you were in still maybe part of ISAF HQs

If it is not on or 214/215 you need to call HRC and see if they have a record on file or in their system, Don't get a DA PHOTO wearing the wrong awards on your uniform.

If HRC sent through iPERMS I'd wear it because that is a true data base for ERB or 214. I'd wear it.
