You may like it so much you might make a career out of it and retire in 10 years. Plus not only that the VA, the Army recruiters have special programs, not to mention theres special programs for veterans to help you get jobs. Plus theres VA job fairs.Response by PVT Kenneth Rodriguez made Nov 12 at 2018 11:42 PM2018-11-12T23:42:47-05:002018-11-12T23:42:47-05:00SSG Laurie Mullen4122301<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You might want to looking at trying a seasonal job while you wait to leave. However, you should mention this during your interview even if it means having a negative impact. Hopefully, your potential employer doesn't get paranoid with the recent border duty call up among the ARNG.<br /><br />Additionally, your basic and AIT will probably be split up at different times... which means you'll have to leave for training twice with a gap in between. Also, Basic (BCT) is now 10 weeks (2.5 months) and AIT for 94E is 16 weeks (4 months). Keep this in mind when planning ahead. If you know what unit you're going to, you should contact them and ask what to expect.<br /><br />Usually temp employment agencies are flexible with short term jobs. See if there is anything similar in Mississippi and make sure you still apply to regular jobs too. Holiday jobs are needed everywhere too, like the Post Office or Amazon, they always need extra people during the holidays.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 13 at 2018 5:56 PM2018-11-13T17:56:17-05:002018-11-13T17:56:17-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member4124411<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Are u active dutyResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 13 at 2018 6:50 PM2018-11-13T18:50:43-05:002018-11-13T18:50:43-05:00SFC Joseph Weber4125410<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Tell the employer.
