I got a Marginal 1059 in WLC years ago. Will this effect me for the rest of my career? Also would it hinder my chances at going warrant?

I got a Margial 1059 in WLC . Years ago . I made the E7 list but I'm still being told I can get a SDA like recruiter or drill. Will this effect me for the rest of my career? Also would it hinder my chances at going warrant ? Thanks for professional responses in Advanced.

Depends on whose telling you. A lot of "Sh*t-house" lawyers out there. Apply for whatever you want to do and send it forward. Let the approving authority be the judge!

And I'm assuming you had some great DA-1059s since WLC to make it where you are today. Congratulations, and good luck!

It won't affect your chances at becoming a warrant officer. As long as your record is squared since then you should feel free to apply. I have seen Soldiers with UCMJ on their record 5-10 years ago apply and get selected for WOC. Is it a blemish...yes but the fact that you rose above and improved shows a lot too. Congrats on making the E7 list!

I do not believe it will hinder your progress as much as you are led to believe. Every individual has a dip in some area. As long as its not consistent it is understandable. As far as going Warrant it should not interfere because you did pass. Most courses 1059 are you either achieved the goal or you didn't . Warrant school will make you the technician or pilot you need to be you just have to have the aptitude.
