It can be a LONG process. You will need ALL of your med records from the day you went in, to today (to include any PEB/MEB you went through). <br />A kickass recruiter is the best tool. But when i went to the recruiter they kept asking for paperwork from my dr that never existed and i couldnt get. Kept getting the run around, so i gave up after a few years of trying and waiting. But yet i wanna get back in so bad i can't stand it. I hurt my back during pt, and has SRP one day an was asked if my back hurts an i advised that once in a while or when i complete a pt test it get a little sore. Next thing i know i was discharged that quick. I received an honorable discharge with a Re-3 code. Two years after being out of the active service, my wife’s medical condition had stabilized enough, that I thought about joining the National Guard. Long story short, I tested for the guard, the local colonel approved a waiver for me and I eventually did 8 years in the National Guard. This gave me enough time in to qualify for a reserve pension. Today at age 74, I have been collecting that pension for over 14 years. Plus I get Tri-care for life supplemental medical coverage to cover co-pays from Medicare at no cost.Response by SSG Rob Lawrence made Jun 17 at 2023 4:06 PM2023-06-17T16:06:08-04:002023-06-17T16:06:08-04:002018-02-23T00:02:56-05:00
