It can be a LONG process. You will need ALL of your med records from the day you went in, to today (to include any PEB/MEB you went through). <br />A kickass recruiter is the best tool. ESPECIALLY if they are a bulldog - I know the MSgt I have working for me it. She has gone to MEPS &amp; talked to the CMO direct, and the same for NGB. I received an honorable discharge with a Re-3 code. Two years after being out of the active service, my wife’s medical condition had stabilized enough, that I thought about joining the National Guard. Long story short, I tested for the guard, the local colonel approved a waiver for me and I eventually did 8 years in the National Guard. This gave me enough time in to qualify for a reserve pension. Today at age 74, I have been collecting that pension for over 14 years. Plus I get Tri-care for life supplemental medical coverage to cover co-pays from Medicare at no cost.
