However, since I am selected under Green to Gold ADO, do I still wear NCO version ASUs or the cadet version. My ROTC university has not received G2G candidates in about 8 years and is not exactly sure. I know that I still get E5 pay and benefits but what is my rank while in school? Am I a cadet or a sergeant? Will I ever need E5 version ASU?
Thank you for the responses in advance. I have been selected for Green to Gold Active duty Option and simultaneously promoted to E5. Should I get a new ASU? 2017-08-28T22:02:00-04:00 2LT Private RallyPoint Member 2875234

My ROTC POC said that new ASUs will be issued to all cadets. The good news is that you will get a significant uniform allowance when you first commission.
Good luck, and congratulations on both the promotion and selection for G2G. It’ll make no difference really, because everyone is already gonna know you’re prior service, whether you wear your old rank or not. Just ask. Some schools like to wear them for classes. Others, not so much. My school didn't bust out dress unless it was dining out or graduation. The G2G guys just wore what they had, bells and whistles.

Best bet, just ask them what they do. But, honestly, you'll probably be ok. Our G2G guys were appreciated for the peer source of experience. I wore my CPL rank on my ASUs with my old ribbon rack. The only change was I put the ROTC program crest on the uniform.
