I have heard there is no High Year Tenure (RCP) in the National Guard. Does that mean a SGT can go all the way to 20 years, 30 years? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-have-heard-there-is-no-high-year-tenure-rcp-in-the-national-guard-does-that-mean-a-sgt-can-go-all-the-way-to-20-years-30-years <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Tue, 10 May 2016 18:00:45 -0400 I have heard there is no High Year Tenure (RCP) in the National Guard. The bar should have been put in place long before he made it that far. I know a SSG with around 30 years time in service, as well as a SFC with 42 or 43 years in. And age to receive your retirement pay is age 60. Bad part about it is, there is NO way to collect early, you only get base/post privileges until you hit 60.
