I have just under 9 months until I ETS. If my unit comes down on deployment, would I be Stop/Lossed or be left in Rear-D to ETS on time? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-have-just-under-9-months-until-i-ets-if-my-unit-comes-down-on-deployment-would-i-be-stop-lossed-or-be-left-in-rear-d-to-ets-on-time <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div> Wed, 04 Apr 2018 15:05:34 -0400 I have just under 9 months until I ETS. Once you start that, nothing will pull you away from that unless you decide to reenlist. You should visit you local SFL-TAP center to find out when you can start the transition program. I think it is 1-2 years from retirement date and 6 months to 1 year for ETS. Your pay won&#39;t stop, if your unit and Finance can change your ETS date before you deploy. If it does stop, life will suck for a while, but you will get &quot;one big back-pay!&quot; when you get back. Years ago, my brother was assigned to a stateside military hospital at Fort Ord (1985-88). They were so busy with day-to-day operations of the hospital and patents, they basically forgot about the soldier. He worked past his ETS by a few days, until he was informed by his Company 1SG, &quot; Why are you still here?!&quot; He was out-processed in a day and half. Back then, they had no TAP or SFL-TAP program. Depends on the length of the deployment. 2. Up to your chain of command as to which they do. 3. Under normal deployment standards- your unit and you would already know about a deployment and be in the train up stage, SGM Bill Frazer Thu, 05 Apr 2018 01:11:20 -0400 2018-04-05T01:11:20-04:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 5 at 2018 9:39 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-have-just-under-9-months-until-i-ets-if-my-unit-comes-down-on-deployment-would-i-be-stop-lossed-or-be-left-in-rear-d-to-ets-on-time?n=3516229&urlhash=3516229 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You didn&#39;t get the memo? Stop loss hasn&#39;t been around for awhile. You&#39;ll be asked to extend to meet the duration of the deployment, if you are unable or unwilling, you&#39;ll either go and be back 90 days out to ets, or stay on rear d.
