I have made the decision to take the AFOQT exam; what were some resources you used to help prep for the exam? Any advice?

There are several guides out there, they help.
Totally use time constraint when practicing the navigator stuff.

Use the practice electronic version and then study the stuff you had issues with. The test isn't all that difficult.

Look through all of these, they're not all spot on, however, ARCO and Barrons have review texts explicitly for OCS qualifying exams, now, as I said, they're not all gonna be exactly what you'd need expressly for AFOQT, which, as I recall, I did actually take, I believe, before I'd gone USAF OTS back when it was at Lackland, way before it got moved to Maxwell...also, if you can elaborate at all on your bachelors major, grades, GPA, STEM coursework, other non-STEM coursework, with actual course titles, and what AFSCs you're looking at, as well as what other OCS and/or direct-commission indoc OIS programs as well, I might be able to suggest stuff you might well find useful, sometimes, I've been told I can tend to overwhelm with too many responses, so I told admin I'd kinda crank down the volume a good deal, that being said, the more explicit and detailed you are in a biosketch, the more I and/or others on here can tend to be able to help you...I was 3 yrs Army ROTC, then went USAF OTS instead, I got turned down the first time, appealed, got in, then had to go through the program twice at Lackland, getting recycled once...I also totally bollixed up how I went about what AFSC I'd wanted, which is why, if you let me help you, so far as you'd like, I might be able to suggest stuff that could help you with alternatives you might not have considered thus far...you've gotta remember, it's not about what you want, it's about who wants you...also, the onus is on the applicant to research ALL svcs, NOT just one or two, trust me, been there, done that (BTDT), I assure you, so, if you'd wanna chat, I'm here, no rush, whenever you'd want, if I think of any other really possibly useful stuff, I'll try to send it without totally overwhelming you, honest, so far as I can, OK? You'll find the forum pages on here quite useful, it's not all-inclusive, it doesn't cover all warrant/commissioned programs, however, the major five OCS programs are on there...also, being prior enlisted is gonna help you adjust a good deal, a good many while I was at Lackland were prior enlisted, either USAF or other svcs, they had a far easier time adapting, which is often why I genuinely wish I'd been enlisted before going, I assure you...also, do you have flight interests at all? Serious science? I'd seen you were listed as ANG, however, that was all I could glean...as I'd said, if you'd care to chat further, please obviously just let me know, and I'll try to tell you and/or suggest whatever I can beyond what I have already, OK?

I'd absolutely recommend a good night's sleep before the exam. Eat a low-carb, high protein meal(s) before the exam. Take it easy on the caffeine.

You want an honest appraisal of your abilities and aptitudes to become an officer. Read each question and associated answers completely. Read every word! Consider each answer in light of the AETC standard testing methodology. Multiple choice questions normally have at least one answer that is way wrong, one that is the most correct, and at least one that is almost correct.
