I haven’t done land navigation since basic 2005 and I been out the serive for 7 years. What resources can I use to help me prepare for BLC?

TC 3-25.26 is the Army reference. You can also Google orienteering, its land naving for time, they have some great tips you can use.

Get a map & compass and get to walking. Practice your resection & intersection.

The above link will direct you to a website that offers a land navigation program that you can purchase for 50 dollars I believe. I bought the program and I can tell you it’s worth it. It teaches you all of the basics and then some. I would purchase it if I were you since there aren’t any other programs as good or like this one. I’m not gonna say I hope this will help, coz I know it will! Good luck.

Go over drill and ceremony, there's a lot of that. If you're going to BLC, you should know someone in your leadership that can help with land nav.

Depends when you're going to BLC, coming in June they're changing BLC to where it'll mostly all be writing in the Army writing style and you can say goodbye to land nag and STX.

How the hell did you make E-5 without doing land nav. What kind of unit are you in? Do they not do common task training every year?

Preparing for land nav in blc is not necessary. They are going to spend practically a whole week doing it, and hold your hand along the way.
