I have not heard of this, but like a lot of the revisions I've heard coming to the new AR 670-1 good luck enforcing them off post or on pass/leave. I see it playing out kinda like this...

*off base*
Correcting NCO: Are you a soldier?
Out of regulation soldier: No.

Now short of the NCO frisking the guy for an ID card what can he do? The answer is absolutely nothing.

I do agree with that statement sagging pants some people wear is extremely distasteful and shows you have no respect for yourself or others who have to see that. What I don't understand is how can the army think its right to say how you have to dress on your personal time provided you wear something that isn't distasteful
