I heard AUSA has a requirement for each chapter to have an Officer, Enlisted and Corporate member on their BoD. Why not Army Civil Service?

BoD = Board of Directors.
We have many civil service serving in US Army Civil Service. This is a large number that is bigger than some Army Branches.

Shhh....they aren't supposed to know we outnumber them lol. In all seriousness, it could be due to the Hatch Act. We aren't supposed to use our positions for political purposes and having one of us on the BoD would be doing just that. AUSA is essentially a lobbyist organization so there may be some legal and ethical considerations. I am no expert on the Hatch Act. I only know what they send us in the emails every time an election rolls around lol.

Good point about the politics, but a GSer at the CHAPTER level would not be involved in the election lobby actions. BUT, you do have a great point at the national level. Interesting!
