I just PCS from Germany to JBLM. I have a German fiancée still in Germany. What do I have to do to speed up the paperwork process? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/i-just-pcs-from-germany-to-jblm-i-have-a-german-fiancee-still-in-germany-what-do-i-have-to-do-to-speed-up-the-paperwork-process

So my concerns are, what kind of paperwork do I need to do so I can get BAH and off- post housing? Can I continue to do this process when she is still in Germany and I’m in JBLM? Just my main concerns are making the marriage official so she can fly out to me during all the Travel restrictions. Fiancé has no status in the military. Getting a visitor or fiancé visa is likely not happening at this point. There is nothing you can do in that regard. She can apply for a visa in either status, but again it will be approved or disapproved based on the current environment. You will need to be patient. She is not setting foot in the US for at least six months and you will not get anything in BAH or Tricare for her until married. Read the instructions and do the form line by line and it is easy. You are looking at about $1000 currently for a fiancée visa plus any costs in Germany. Probably closer to $1250-$1500. If you are thorough, the process is easy and don't get a lawyer. All of my forms were first time go and my wife is a US Citizen now.

Home

Secure .gov websites use HTTPSA lock ( A locked padlock ) or https:// means you've safely connected to the .gov website.
